About this resource

For the music to sound in time, it’s important that everyone plays to the same pulse.

In this section you will focus on more crotchets rests and you’ll continue to explore the basics of finding and keeping a steady pulse by:

  • Understanding signals and following the video guides
  • Gaining a basic knowledge of rhythmic notation
  • Using body actions (such as clapping and nodding) to move in with the pulse
