Use this tool to create your own rhythms using notation!

The interface shows 1 bar in 4/4 time, split into 8 quavers. You can add crotchets (¼ notes) and quavers (⅛ notes) by clicking a box. Use the red ‘X’ to remove a note. Click Check for Errors to see if your bar is complete or needs adjusting. Keep in mind:

• Crotchet notes and rests last 1 beat and must go on whole beats (1, 2, 3, or 4)
• Quaver notes and rests last half a beat and can go on any half beat (1 + 2 + 3 + 4 +)

You can export your finished rhythm as an image.
