Project Overview
For this project, your students will form keyboard and/or tuned percussion-based bands, culminating in a “Battle of the Bands” performance after 4-6 lessons. Here’s what they’ll need to do:
- Choose one or more playalongs from the provided list
- Plan and rehearse as a group, deciding whether to perform the song together as an ensemble or take turns playing different sections
- Optional: Students can add vocal parts to their performance if desired
As the teacher, you’ll be evaluating:
- Good group organisation skills in rehearsal time
- A good overall performance with everyone involved
- Groups who perform by listening carefully and playing in time
- Well produced promo materials
