Untuned Percussion is a unique collection of teaching resources designed to develop core musical skills that help create a solid foundation upon which to build.
Students will establish their understanding for rhythm and pulse with untuned percussion instruments, as well as following a simple graphic score and develop a shared musical vocabulary around beats and rest.
This project develops students’ listening and rhythm skills through untuned percussion across 6 lessons. Activities include body percussion, ensemble playing with classroom instruments, exploring basic notation like crotchets and quavers, and engaging with interactive video playalongs.
