We’re excited to launch a brand new six-lesson project for early primary learners: All About Me.
Part of our Primary Pathway, this project uses the familiar theme of identity to introduce children to the musical concept of tempo – how music can be fast, slow, or somewhere in between.
Through a mix of listening, movement and performance activities, pupils begin to feel the beat, respond to tempo changes and make music together – all while getting to share something about themselves.
Here’s what children will be doing:
Move, tap and clap along to different tempos
Perform simple actions and take turns in a group
Listen closely to changes in music
Express themselves through sound and rhythm
Designed for EYFS and Key Stage 1, All About Me supports steady beat and tempo awareness, while encouraging confidence, creativity and collaboration in the classroom.
It’s easy to follow, works well across a range of teaching contexts, and gives young learners a joyful and musical start to their learning journey.
