The Music & Me resource is designed to support listening, performing and singing by exploring six styles of music (or genres) and includes the following class activities to achieve this:

• Develop a shared musical vocabulary to describe musical features and characteristics of different genres of popular music
• Respond to specific questions, eg about the genre, structure
• Learn to mark the beat with simple body percussion actions
• Perform body percussion actions confidently and in time by following simple interactive graphic score
• Explore simple notation by following interactive video playalongs including crotchets, quavers, beats and rests
• Sing with expression and with the addition of forte and piano (loud and soft) where appropriate
